When the two come together, Mr Roo is born. On match-day mornings he comes alive before my eyes: voices rising from the street, scarves rippling in the wind, that moment when everyone is wrapped in the same color and beats like a single breath. For me this piece is not simply a football character. It is a symbol of the friendships that grew on the terraces, the matches that were never forgotten, and a passion passed down from one generation to the next. Playful, warm, carrying a lightness that is almost childlike in its pop-art lines, yet holding inside it the heart that beats with the same excitement in millions of supporters.
Every detail I worked into Mr Roo has a meaning: player names stretching from the team's history to today, goal tallies, slogans, symbols, unforgettable dates. I write them one by one, patiently. Because this is not a jersey. It is a sense of belonging handed from one generation to the next, a quiet archive of a passion. When the sculpture is finished, it carries the entire story the way a supporter's memory does.
