Start by looking at the ball beneath the foot. It seems like a small detail, but that is where everything begins: the timeless symbol of a shared passion, of breath held together, of hands raised in the air at a last-minute goal. While painting Mr Roo, I thought of that moment: the roar of the stands, a child's first love for a jersey, the loyalty that lasts for years.
I chose deep ultramarine blue for trust and infinity; the gold accents woven across it are the glow of triumph, passion, and unforgettable moments. The trails of paint flowing across the surface are no accident. Like the marks left by every match, every joy, and every heartbreak, they are a map of memories accumulated over time.
Entirely hand-painted, signed, and produced in limited numbers, this composite sculpture stands at 31 × 17 × 17 cm and brings pop-art lines together with contemporary art. As part of the My Team Series, Mr Roo speaks not only to the thrill on the field but also to friendship and the pure belief we have carried with us from childhood to today.
