While creating Miro, I let myself drift into the spellbinding silence of stars, galaxies, and the infinite universe. On nights when I often felt alone, I would gaze up at the sky and sense myself as a part of that boundless blue. Deep ultramarine blues whisper of that magnificence, delicate white lights murmur of the stars' quiet grace, and the yellow balloon in its hand became for me the warmth of the Sun, life itself, and a hope I never let go. I suppose we all hide our own light inside dreams as vast as the universe, Miro is the vessel of that hidden feeling, the body of the child within me.
I have yet to meet a single person who shares no bond with the sky. Some of us make a quiet wish beneath a falling star, some of us are drawn into the mystery of space, and some of us take refuge in the deep peace that washes over us in that wide, blue expanse. Miro was born to touch that pure child who goes on living silently in each of our hearts, with hope, with curiosity, with dreams that never run dry. Because the most noble journeys so often begin in that small, quiet moment when we lift our faces to the sky.
Measuring 44 × 20 × 13 cm and born from sculptural composite that I shaped one piece at a time with my own hands, this figure is one of the closest and most precious parts of the Mr Roo character universe to me. A truly one-of-a-kind work of collectible value, produced in limited numbers; I crafted every detail with patience, with love, and sometimes with tears in my eyes. While making it, I felt as though I was meeting the child inside myself all over again.
In your favorite corner of a living room, or in the serene atmosphere of an office or a clinic, Miro lends the space a refined elegance, a warm touch of color, and an inspiration that always opens the door to a new conversation. For someone you love, for a new home, or most of all for yourself, for every gentle soul who wishes to carry the sky within them and never wants to lose that childlike hope.
